About Scohra

Who are we?

Student Consortium for Human Rights Advocacy.

We are a youth organization passionate about transforming our society using positive human rights action. SCOHRA was founded in 2009 by a group of university students interested in non-violent forms of social advocacy. In 2014, SCOHRA Society was registered as a human rights youth group under Kenya’s Societies Act Cap 108.

The aim of SCOHRA is to mobilize young people to actively and willingly participate and contribute to sustainable development through human rights education and youth advocacy. It targets the participation of students in universities and high schools.

 Our Vision

“We seek a world free from prejudice steered by young people
who uphold social justice, equality and dignity for all.”
